Responding to False Statement of Gareth Byant of Hearsay and claims that Shaykh Dr. Rabee ibn Haadee Al-Madkhalee may Allah preserve him Speaks ill of the Companions
All praise is due to Allah and peace and blessing be upon our Messenger and his family and his companions and those who follow his Sunnah with perfection.
Concerning what follows after:
A misguide brother by the name of Gareth Bryant who feels that it is okay to criticize the companions of the Messenger of Allah, due to them not being infallible. By this thinking he criticized Ameer Mumineen Umar ibn al Khattab due to this filthy understanding. The response was posted to him about this incorrect understanding and he respond in the comment area with:

This brother with his misunderstanding and is effected with the dawah of Ma’dudi and their followers from his joining of YM of ICNA (1) in 2004 which was build by Jamatil al Islami from Pakistan started up by Ma’dudi who in his tafseer of innovation revile some of the Sahaba and may Allah be please with them all.
Gareth to accuse Shaykh Dr Rabee of such lies and crimes show how deep your illness and comprehension is and how low is your level.
Shaykh Rabee iibn Haadee al Madkhalee said in his explanation of أصول السنة Usoolu Sunnah of Imam Ahmed may Allah have mercy on him in the section ” The one who criticizes any of the Companions”:
تبديع من انتقصر أحدأ من صحابة رسول الله صلى الله عليه و سلم
Declaring to be an innovator the one who belittles any of the Companions may (Allah be pleased with them all) of the Messenger of Allah sallahu wa alayhi wa salam
Whoever belittles one of the Companions of the Messager of Allah sallahu wa alyhi wa salam or hates him, either because of something this companion did, or by mentioning his shortcomings, then he is an innovator until he makes supplication for all of the Companions, asking Allah to bestow His mercy upon them, and his heart does not contain any negative feelings toward them.
Shaykh Rabee ibn Haadee al Madkhalee explain this text:
Therefore the legal punishment of the slave is half the punishment of the free person (who has not married) and it is fifty lashes. And there is no stoning upon of the slave, even if they have married a correct Islamic marriage; he / she is to be flogged fifty times.
This is from the fundamental principles of Ahul As-Sunnah: it is not permissible to belittle any Companion of the Prophet Muhammad sallahu wa alyhi wa salam, by mentioning any of their faults or any events that may have taken place. Unfortunately there people (i.e. the Khawarij, the Rafida, and followers of Sayid Qutab and Ma’dudi) take the religion, the Companions, and the Islamic Beliefs very lightly. A person belittles the Companions of the Prophet Muhammad sallahu wa alyhi wa salam, declares them to be disbelievers, accused them of hypocrisy, declares the general body of Muslims to be disbelievers, and this person is called a leader, a scholar of the Ummah, with who?! It is with those who want to bring revolution to the Ummah, returning it to its glory? These people are not to be trusted with the religion of Allah; rather they are grouped with the Rafidah. That is because they defend Fafidah, al-ilahad, zanadaqah (i.e. hypocrisy and misguidance), and they defend the books that contain these criminal beliefs. Rather, they even make allegiance and disassociation based upon these books. these people are not to be trusted with the religion of Allah. They have no value, and it is obligatory that they be grouped with the Rafidah, and the other sects of misguidance. In addition to that, they should be opposed, refuted, and battle against with harshness, because these people have have deceived and wasted the Muslim youth, pulverizing them with deception, treachery, and dishonesty.
This is the religion of Allah and the Aqidah of Ahul- As-Sunnah wa Al-Jama’ah. ( these people claim to be from the people of Sunnah) saying: ” We are Ahul As-Sunnah Al Jama’ah”. (we responded to them saying): but the people of Sunnah are in one valley, while you are in another. Every time we are in a valley, we find you in another valley with the people of innovation and desires. Every time we tread a path from the paths of the people of Sunnah, we find you all in another trail, defending the people of innovation and misguidance. By Allah, they have established principles and methodologies and raised the entire dunya in order to protect the people of innovation. How can these people be from Ahul As-Sunnah? They are to be group with the likes of the Rafidah, the people of misguidance and innovation, even if they claim to be against the Rafidah. We do not believe them, nor do we trust the likes of these people with our children. Nowadays our children are studying in schools and universities being taught and cultivated by such people of innovation, where they raise them upon corruption, misguidance, and waste. They are distancing the Muslim youth from the methodology of the people of Sunnah. Unfortunately the youth follow these deceitful ones who play games with the intellect of these youth, who give them blind allegiance and trust.
As the statement of al Imam Ahmed ” And whoever belittles one of the Companions of the Messenger of Allah, or hates him for something he did.” even if it has been established that a particular Companion has Fallen into a mistake, do not mention this mistake, do not look down upon this Companion by mentioning this. Rather say that he is mujtahhid, (he sought out the truth, and for him is a single reward even with a mistake). this is the methodology of the People of Sunnah. Whatever difference that took place between the Companions, they all exerted effort to attain the truth. However, much of what is ascribed to them are lies or has even been distorted, changed, or exaggerate,a s Shaykh Al-Islam ibn Taymiyyah may Allah have mercy upon him mentioned. As for that which has been authentically reported in terms of their mistakes, it is only like a drop of water in an ocean, pertaining to ( all of the good he has done). As for his good deeds, then a date that a Companion gives in charity is better than the Mountain Uhud that you spend in Gold. (Imagine) you spend the likes of the Mountain of Uhud in gold, while a companion gives a handful of barley or half a handful.
(This charity) with Allah is better than the Mountain of Uhud and the rest of the mountains in this world. If you were to gather mountains worth of charity, it would not be equal to a handful of charity of one of the Messenger’s Companions may Allah be pleased with them all. Therefore, it is a must that we respect them and recognize their lofty levels that they have with Allah, who has made the charity that is spent by one of the Tabieen (generation after the companions), not even worth a handful or half a handful of the charity of a single Companion. So what about you? These people that belittle the Companions, have no honored them in the least and have not recognized their level. Rather they mock their level and take it lightly. the one who defends these types of people they also have not recognized the level of the Companions, because if they did they would not take those who curse and insult the Companions of the Messenger of Allah sallahu alyhi wa salam as friends and protectors. They publish and print books that curse the Companions of Muhammad sallahu wa alayhi wa salam, dissemination them all over. They even defend and get angry for these books, while continually saying: ‘We are Ahul As-Sunnah wa Al-Jama’ah. No , by Allah, No by Allah, No by Allah, the people of Sunnah are no doubt free from these type of people.
This is from the benefits of the Ulimaa and their insight.
The truth is Maududi criticize Muaawiyah ibn Abu Sufyan radillahu anhu In his book title “Caliphate and Kingship”
Abul Ala Maududi, in his 1973 book “Caliphate and Kingship, outlines in detail the numerous ways in which Muawiya enriched himself at the expense of the people, how corrupt he was, how many companions and innocent Muslims he killed and how he amassed both power and wealth. He turned the Caliphate into a Kingship. (After all that criticism, Maududi still managed to end the book with “Hazrat Muawiya, (radi allahu anhu.)”!!)
He further said in “Khilafath wa Mulukiyaat” ( Caliphate into a Kingship) pg 174:
In original Urdu book the quote starts as this….
“….One of the extremely disliked Bid’a {makrooh biddah} that started in the era of Hazrat Muaawiyah (radi allahu anhu) , was that He himself, and with his orders all his governors would malign/curse (Sabb o shetam) Hazrat Ali R.A on the minbar. until…..”
Mawdudi was a close friend of Khomeini and was sympathetic to his course. In a book titled, ‘Two brothers – Maududi and Khomeini’ page 129, the following statement of Dr Ahmad Farouk Maududi (son of Abul-A’ala Maududi) was published in Roz Naame, Lahore – 29 September 1979:
“Allama Khomeini had a very old and close relationship with Abba Jaan (father). Aayaatullah Khomeini translated his (fathers) books in Farsi and included it as a subject in Qum. Allama Khomeini met my father in 1963 during Hajj and my father’s wish was to create a revolutionary in Pakistan similar to Iran. He was concerned about the success of the Iranian revolution till his last breath.”
He also said in {Tarjumanul Qur’�n part 26, no. 403, 605 page 274 edition may/june 1945} – ( jamaate-islami ko phachaniye – page 28):
“…….your approach that prophet (sallahu wa alayhi wa salam) used to keep the long beard so to keep that much long beard is the prophets sunnah. which meant that you considers that what prophet’s habit is the same sunnah to which they (prophet Mohammed and the earlier prophets) came to establish. BUT from my way of thinking this is not the true defination of sunnah but I have a strong belief that if these things considered as sunnah and insisted to be implemented then it is one of the strong type of innovation (bida) and dangerous alteration in religion which resulted in bad results in past and can show bad results in future also ……” .
This is where the roots of Gareth Bryant’s criticism of the Companions may Allah be please with them, and may Allah guide him to see his misunderstandings and errors Ameen.

1.ICNA’s own publications in 1996 stated that ICNA was developed “using the organizational development methodology of [Jamaat-e-Islami founder] Maulana Mawdudi and the Jamaat Al-Islami of Pakistan.” In 2007 that ICNA’s website is registered to a Jamaat-e-Islami website, and ICNA’s logo is identical to that of Jamaat-e-Islami’s student wing. This past Ramadan 2014 a spokesman for Jamaat Al Islami gave talks during Ramadan at ICNA. From a past talk one of the member’s teenager of ICNA said ” He reminded the body members of ICNA that ICNA been falling off the goals of Jamat al Islami, and was rebuking them, and also for allowing Jamaat ul Tabliq to meet in their masjid (conflicts they goals and group)”.
Ashrafuzzaman Khan, a former Secretary-General of ICNA. Khan was formally charged in October 2012 with being the “chief executioner” in at least 18 gruesome political assassinations in 1971 in Bangladesh. He had to be charged in absentia because he is currently living in New York. Khan says he is innocent and never belonged to the Al-Badar death squad, but three eyewitnesses contradict him. This is from the methodology of Jamat Al – Islami of Pakistan started by Mawdudi, and their crimes that go beyond criticizing the Sahab, but taking the blood of the Muslims as lawful.
