First Khutbah:
All the Praise is for Allah the Lord of all the worlds, much good praises and goodness, just as our Lord loves and is pleased with being praised and worshiped. I bear witness that there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah, alone, without associating partners in worshiping Him. He has the best of names and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger, the chosen Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him and upon his family and his companions and he who is in harmony with his Sunnah and is guided with his guidance, I send him much salutations.
Concerning what follows:
O people fear Allah the Most High and know the meaning of having Taqwaa of Allah (the fear and reverence of Allah) Glorified is He. The Most High said:
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ حَقَّ تُقَاتِهِ وَلا تَمُوتُنَّ إِلاَّ وَأَنْتُمْ مُسْلِمُونَ
آل عمران102
“O you who believe! Fear Allah (by doing all that He has ordered and by abstaining from all that He has forbidden) as He should be feared. [Obey Him, be thankful to Him, and remember Him always], and die not except in a state of Islam [as Muslims (with complete submission to Allah)].”
A’li Imraan: 102
And Glorified is He, the most High said:
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَقُولُوا قَوْلاً سَدِيداً* يُصْلِحْ لَكُمْ أَعْمَالَكُمْ وَيَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ ذُنُوبَكُمْ وَمَنْ يُطِعْ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ فَقَدْ فَازَ فَوْزاً عَظِيماً
[الأحزاب:70-71]
“O you who believe! Keep your duty to Allah and fear Him, and speak (always) the truth.
He will direct you to do righteous good deeds and will forgive you your sins. And whosoever obeys Allah and His Messenger sallahu wa alyhi wa salam he has indeed achieved a great achievement (i.e. he will be saved from the Hell-fire and will be admitted to Paradise). “
Al-Hizab: 70-71
“O you who believe! Fear Allah and keep your duty to Him. And let every person look to what he has sent forth for tomorrow, and fear Allah. Verily, Allah is All-Aware of what you do.”
al-Hashr: 18
Indeed, Allah ordered all of His creation, from the first to last of them, with Fearing Him. He the Most High:
وَلَقَدْ وَصَّيْنَا الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْكِتَابَ مِنْ قَبْلِكُمْ وَإِيَّاكُمْ أَنْ اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ
[النساء:131]
“And to Allah belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth. And verily, We have recommended to the people of the Scripture before you, and to you (O Muslims) that you (all) fear Allah, and keep your duty to Him. But if you disbelieve, then unto Allah belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth, and Allah is Ever Rich (Free of all wants), Worthy of all praise.”
An-Nisa: 131
Glorified is He, He said:
يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ اتَّقُوا رَبَّكُمْ الَّذِي خَلَقَكُمْ مِنْ نَفْسٍ وَاحِدَةٍ
[النساء:1]
“O mankind! Be dutiful to your Lord, Who created you from a single person (Adam)”
An-Nisa: 1
He specifically ordained it for the Believers, as in the previous verses, and He commanded His Prophet with it, peace and blessing be upon him. He said, may He be Glorified:
يَا أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ اتَّقِ اللَّهَ وَلا تُطِعْ الْكَافِرِينَ وَالْمُنَافِقِينَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ عَلِيماً حَكِيماً
الأحزاب:1
“O Prophet ! Keep your duty to Allah, and obey not the disbelievers and the hypocrites (i.e., do not follow their advice). Verily, Allah is Ever All-Knower, All-Wise.”
al-Hizab: 1
And He commands Taqwa for every individual from the general people and all individuals from the creation that they fear Allah, Glorified is He, the Most High. And He informs that Taqwa its the best provision (preparation) for the Hereafter and He, the Most High, said:
وَتَزَوَّدُوا فَإِنَّ خَيْرَ الزَّادِ التَّقْوَى
[البقرة:197]
“…And take a provision (with you) for the journey, but the best provision is At-Taqwa (piety, righteousness). So fear Me, O men of understanding!”
Al Baqara: 197
And Taqwa is a word that gathers all types of good doing, statements and actions and submissions, and intentions and it works with all the deeds of the slave, inward and outward. It is upon him that he fears Allah in it and that he fears Allah in what is between him (in what he does, and all things mentioned above and all matters related to Islam like Tawheed and the prohibitions of Shirk also what it prohibits like backbiting and gossiping, etc)and between Allah in performing his obligations (all that is obligatory upon the Muslim from the laws of Islam) and he leaves off all that He prohibited (in Islam). That he fears Allah in what is between him and between the slaves, means that he is worships Allah as if he sees Him even though he sees Him not, but he knows Allah sees him so he perfects his action (deeds) and he fears his Lord in all conditions. The Prophet peace and blessings be upon him said “أتقى اللهَ حيثما كنت” “fear Allah wherever you may be” so he fears his Lord in any place and he fears his Lord in all conditions, in happy times and in bad times. Indeed, the expression of the Salaf differs in the explanation of Taqwa and it was brought together to one meaning. He does all the commandments of Allah the Majestic and the Most High desiring His rewards and leaving off all that’s prohibited, and fears His punishment. For this He the Most High said:
(يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ حَقَّ تُقَاتِهِ)
[آل عمران:102]
“O you who believe! Fear Allah (by doing all that He has ordered and by abstaining from all that He has forbidden) as He should be feared. [Obey Him, be thankful to Him, and remember Him always], and die not except in a state of Islam [as Muslims (with complete submission to Allah)].”
A’l Imram 102
So the Salaf said: حَقَّ تُقَاتِهِ “fear Allah as he should be feared” (means) that he obey and he does not disobey Him, and that he remembers and does not forget (Allah), and that he has gratitude and does not become ungrateful; this is the meaning of حق تقاته “fear Allah as he should be feared.” No doubt that mankind is subject to mistakes and differing, hence Allah sent down this verse:“O you who believe! Fear Allah (by doing all that He has ordered and by abstaining from all that He has forbidden) as He should be feared. [Obey Him, be thankful to Him, and remember Him always], and die not except in a state of Islam [as Muslims (with complete submission to Allah)]”, (A’l Imram:102 ) . This is hard on the Muslims, and they say, “which of us have that ability which of us fear Allah as He should be feared, without mishaps, or differing, even by inadvertence?” So Allah, Glorified is He, the Most High sent down this verse:
فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُمْ
[التغابن:16]
“So keep your duty to Allah and fear Him as much as you can;”
At-Taghabun 16
So the explanation of this verse: “So keep your duty to Allah and fear Him as much as you can;” explains His saying: حق تقاته “fear Allah as He should be feared.” So he who fears Allah as much as he can, (i.e. according to his ability) then, indeed, he fears Allah as he should be feared. Allah, may He be Glorified, said:
لا يُكَلِّفُ اللَّهُ نَفْساً إِلاَّ وُسْعَهَا
[البقرة:286]،
“Allah burdens not a person beyond his scope…”
al Baqarah: 286
..”Our Lord! Punish us not if we forget or fall into error, our Lord!”
Al-Baqarah: 286
Indeed, you did what Allah, the Majestic, the Most High, said (if you fear Him as much as you can). So he who fears Allah according to his ability, then indeed fears Allah as He should be feared. This is ease from Allah and simple for His slaves. Ameer ul Mumineen, Ali bin Abi Talib, may Allah the Most High be pleased with him, said: “Taqwa it is fear from الجليل The Sublime (Allah) and the action with inspiration and preparing for the trip and he who did that indeed fears Allah as He should be feared.” Fearingالجليل , the Sublime, is Allah Glorified is He, the Most High, is through actions, with inspiration from the Quran and the Sunnah, while preparing for the trip from this world to the next life-Hereafter. And that is (done) with pious (correct) deeds, just as His saying, the Most High: “…And take a provision (with you) for the journey, but the best provision is At-Taqwa (piety, righteousness). So fear Me, O men of understanding!”(Al Baqara:197). O is not through the accumulation of wealth that there is happiness, but through Taqwa is happiness and the Taqwa (fear) of Allah is the best provision to save up (for the Hereafter). For Taqwa is greater (than wealth), so it’s the slogan of the Believers, always and forever. Fear Allah in good times and bad times, when it comes to backbiting people and in (other) cases present with them. Fear Allah always and forever, and abandon what He makes Haraam (prohibited, unlawful in Islam) on him. And he (the servant) should do what Allah orders him to do. There is much from seeking repentance and forgiveness from what occurs from him from negligence. This is the Fear of Allah Glorified is He, the Most High. It is the slogan of the Muslim, always and forever, in all his conditions, in good times and bad times, in hardship and ease, in the condition of backbiting people, and (other) current conditions; fear Allah. So if it said to him to fear Allah indeed a trembling fear seizes him from the fear of Allah, Glorified is He, the Most High and this is Taqwa. Concerning the punishment indeed it is just as Allah, the Majestic, the Most High said:
وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُ اتَّقِ اللَّهَ أَخَذَتْهُ الْعِزَّةُ بِالإِثْمِ فَحَسْبُهُ جَهَنَّمُ وَلَبِئْسَ الْمِهَادُ
[البقرة:206]
“And when it is said to him, “Fear Allah”, he is led by arrogance to (more) crime. So enough for him is Hell, and worst indeed is that place to rest! “
al-Baqarah: 206
So it’s upon the Muslim that he fears what is between him ( in what he does, all matters related to Islam, what it prohibits, like backbiting and gossiping, etc) and between Allah, and that he fears Allah in what is between him (in what he does , all matters related to Islam, what it prohibits, like backbiting and gossiping etc) and the people. Indeed, he, sallahu wa alayhi wa salam, said : “ قل الحق و لو على نفسك” “ say the truth even if it’s against your own self.” So fear Allah in what is between you and the people; Allah, the Most High, said:
وَإِذَا قُلْتُمْ فَاعْدِلُوا وَلَوْ كَانَ ذَا قُرْبَى وَبِعَهْدِ اللَّهِ أَوْفُوا
[الأنعام:152]،
“And whenever you give your word (i.e. judge between men or give evidence), say the truth even if a near relative is concerned, and fulfill the Covenant of Allah.”
al-Anaam: 152
So he fears Allah and does not speak, except what is correct and straight to the point, and puts aside lying and backbiting and gossiping and insulting and making his tongue pure from much remembrance of Allah, Glorified is He, the Most High. This is Taqwa, that he fears his Lord and he seeks repentance from his sins in all conditions and in all times. And he fears Allah if Allah governs a ruling between people, (even) if that ruling between the people is in conflicts (disputes of all type),
“And that they judge among them by what Allah has revealed and follow not their vain desires,”
al Madiah:49
So he rules between the people with what Allah sent down (Quran and Sunnah) whether they are pleased or displeased (with the ruling). So they are displeased indeed Allah is pleased with him Glorified is Him the Most High. So he fears his Lord, and he rules with the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Messenger, sallahu wa alyhi wa salam.
So if all types of trials and tribulations and differing, and hardships (lacking in {poverty} despair and desires) happen, he does not speak except with good and directing the people to what corrects them and their affairs. And he does not instigate fitnah (trials and tribulation) with his speech, by incitement or protesting, as is the case nowadays. Indeed, some people, specifically the hypocrites and those in whose hearts is disease, cause fitnah to happen in many affairs by plunging and rushing into things (that are a trial) and from all types of (other) fitan (plural of fitnah). Indeed, there are those who are diligent in inciting fitnah and spreading it between people and waking up fitnah that is dormant. It is obligatory upon the general Muslims, the ‘Ulema (scholars) and the Seekers of Knowledge especially, if events like these affairs (fitnah) are around them, that they establish justice, say the truth, calm the people; and that they enjoin firmly the good and warn from evil and make the people fearful of that which sparks fitnah. And that is the reason of hostility between a caretaker ( head of,those who are responsible over others like a man and his household, a director or supervisor and his workers, principle and teacher and those under their care) and those who are under his care, and between the government and those under their sovereignty. Upon the Muslim is the likeness of these positions, that he becomes steadfast, fearful, pure and direct with good and call to tranquility and mutual love between Muslims and to sparing the blood and maintaining honor/respect and wealth (the lost and misuse of people’s wealth like stealing, eating up their wealth etc), upon him is to put out fitnah from what he is able to do. This is what is predominant in the gatherings of the Muslims, and like that is what befalls from conflicts between disputers and between people and individuals; he should turn to rectification (in cases of disputes and conflicts):
“There is no good in most of their secret talks save (in) him who orders Sadaqah (charity in Allah’s Cause), or Ma’ruf (Islamic Monotheism and all the good and righteous deeds which Allah has ordained), or conciliation between mankind; and he who does this, seeking the good Pleasure of Allah, We shall give him a great reward.”
An-Nisa: 114
So it is upon us all that we remain calm and that we soothe what is around us in this day and age, and in these mighty trials and tribulations, as you know, our neighboring countries are going through. You have what happens it these countries because of all types of evils, because of evil speech and incitement of all types of fitnah specifically, due to those who claim to have knowledge who increase fitnah of all types and incite fintah until anarchy happens and debased affairs; and this is from the actions of Shaytan. Indeed Shaytan he is who incite them:
أَلَمْ تَرَى أَنَّا أَرْسَلْنَا الشَّيَاطِينَ عَلَى الْكَافِرِينَ تَؤُزُّهُمْ أَزّاً
[مريم:83]
“See you not that We have sent the Shayatin (devils) against the disbelievers to push them to do evil.” Maryam: 83
So it’s upon the Muslim that if anything occurs from these affairs, either of these general affairs between the Muslims or between the affairs the members of them, from bad thinking, that he rectifies what is between them, until there is rectification between the spouses (husband and wife). If there’s differing it’s upon the Muslim that he rectifies between the spouses and that he straightens what is between them of bad living until there’s tranquility in the houses and until their family has rest. Similarly, with brothers and family, if it occurs between them a thing from evil thoughts it is on the Muslim that he turns to rectifying what’s between them and in all of their (other) affairs. It is upon the Muslim to fear Allah in what he is able in these affairs, and these positions are hard. I seek refuge in Allah from Shaytan the accursed.
No doubt! Verily, the Auliya’ of Allah [i.e. those who believe in the Oneness of Allah and fear Allah much (abstain from all kinds of sins and evil deeds which he has forbidden), and love Allah much (perform all kinds of good deeds which He has ordained)], no fear shall come upon them nor shall they grieve. Those who believed (in the Oneness of Allah – Islamic Monotheism), and used to fear Allah much (by abstaining from evil deeds and sins and by doing righteous deeds), for them are glad tidings, in the life of the present world (i.e. through a righteous dream seen by the person himself or shown to others), and in the Hereafter. No change can there be in the Words of Allah. This is indeed the supreme success.
Yunus: 62-64
May Allah bless me and you with the Mighty Quran and benefit us with what is in it from the verses and the wise remembrance. I said this my statement and I seek forgiveness for me and all of you Muslims from your sins. So turn to Him for forgiveness and repentance, verily He is all-Forgiving, and all-Merciful.
Second Khutbah:
All praise is for Allah upon His Grace and His Perfection, we can not count the praises upon Him just as He praises Himself, and I bear witness that there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah alone, there are no partners in worship to Him in the Oneness of His Lordship, the Oneness of His Worship, and the Oneness in His Names and Attributes. I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger, the best of His creation, peace and blessings be upon him, his family, and his companions and he who follows them with perfection and sending him much greetings.
As to what follows:
Oh people! Fear Allah the Most High, and the second condition from the verse is the statement of the Most High:
وَقُولُوا قَوْلاً سَدِيداً
[الأحزاب:70]
“O you who believe! Keep your duty to Allah and fear Him, and speak (always) the truth.”
Al-Ahzaab 70
As for the statements of the tongue, it is upon you, Oh Muslim, that you fear for your tongue. Mu’adh bin Jabal, may Allah be please with him, said to the Messenger of Allah, sallahu wa alayhi wa salam: “Would we be held accountable with what we say with it (the tongue)” He, sallahu wa alayhi wa salam, said: “You mother be bereaved of you Mu’adh! Is there anything that topples people on their faces (or he said on their noses) into the Hellfire other than the harvest of their tongues?” (at-Tirmidhi, sound)
For this reason He said, Glorified is He:
وَقُولُوا قَوْلاً سَدِيداً
–الأحزاب:70
“O you who believe! Keep your duty to Allah and fear Him, and speak (always) the truth,” Al-Ahzaab 70. So it is a must that a person speaks but that which is direct and forward with the truth (سديد sadeed, means to speak what is correct, up-front, truthful without no crookedness). “O you who believe! Keep your duty to Allah and fear Him, and speak (always) the truth,” Al-Ahzaab 70. And sadeed is righteous speech that is beneficial for a person and other than himself, and beneficial for the person that he gives much to Allah’s remembrance. It is said in the explanation of this verse: “O you who believe! Keep your duty to Allah and fear Him, and speak (always) the truth,” Al-Ahzaab 70, that there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah, so upon the Muslim that he give much thought to this mighty word and that he give much praise to Allah, Glorified is He. And the Most High said: “O you who believe! Keep your duty to Allah and fear Him, and speak (always) the truth,” Al-Ahzaab 70, which is sadeed, correct speech that which is forward and straight to the point, and within that is the prohibition regarding speech other than what’s correct and straight to the point, and this is much. Statement other than correct and forward speech is serious between the people, and its graveness is mighty. Were not wars established or blood spilled, or trust lost, except due to a statement that was not correct and straight to the point; or due to incitement, gloating (about misfortune and mishaps), and evil speech between caretaker (those who are in charge like director, ruler, husband, supervisor) and the flock (those under the care of caretakers), and between individuals? Whether it’s the spilling of blood, or the violation of respect, or the loss of wealth, or the lost of trust, what causes this except false statements, or other than what is upfront and truthful? So indeed we must fear Allah in our selves. Then, Glorified is He, the Most High explained the benefits which are behind these two guidelines:
اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَقُولُوا قَوْلاً سَدِيداً
الأحزاب:70،
“O you who believe! Keep your duty to Allah and fear Him, and speak (always) the truth.”
“He will correct your deeds (He will direct you to do righteous good deeds) and will forgive you your sins. ”
Al-Ahzaab 70-71.
Because the person errs much due to falling into sins, if he said a statement which is correct, straight to the point, from Allah’s remembrance and seeking forgiveness and glorifying (Allah), making praise (of Allah), and repentance, and if he said a statement that is sadeed (correct and straight to the point) between him and between the people, then Allah will forgive him for what occurs from him (of his sins): “He will correct your deeds and will forgive you your sins.” The first thing is “He will correct your deeds.” Regarding those who say a statement other than what is sadeed, then indeed Allah does not rectify his deed just as He said, the Exalted, the Most High:
إِنَّ اللَّهَ لا يُصْلِحُ عَمَلَ الْمُفْسِدِينَ
[يونس:81]
“ Allah does not set right the work of Al-Mufsidun (the evil-doers, corrupter).”
Yunus 81
So a saying other than what is sadeed is corrupt and destructive upon the person or the group of individuals. So it is upon the person that he bears in mind in his statement, so if there is something to say that is good so verily he says it, and if there is nothing good to say, then he remains silent. The Prophet, sallahu wa alayhi wa salam said:
“من كان يؤمن بالله واليوم الآخر فليقل خيراً أو ليصمت“
“Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day so he says what is good or remains quiet”
If the person remains quiet he is safe, but if he speaks then changes the remaining of his speech, then he must repent to Allah and he seeks His forgiveness.
If his speech goes against the rights of people, it’s a must that he seek their pardon and that he seek from them forgiveness concerning what he said about them and it may be that on the Day of Judgment they shall argue with him about (what was said). So its upon us that we fear Allah, Glorified is He:يُصْلِحْ لَكُمْ أَعْمَالَكُمْ “He will correct your deeds” al-Ahzaab 71, as you indeed,– you rectified between people with your correct and direct speech , so indeed Allah will rectify your deeds rewarding according to this is first part of the verse, and the second part: وَيَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ ذُنُوبَكُمْ “and will forgive you your sins.” This is a mighty benefit that Allah forgives you for your sins; if you feared Allah and you said a statement that was the truth and direct, indeed Allah will forgive you for what occurs from you (of sins and errors, making them a good deed for you). That is a promise from Allah, and Allah, the Majestic, the Most High, does not break His promises. So upon you, O Muslim, that you take this verse, its example and way, and go with it, balancing and weighing it against the affairs and paths, and traverse upon it in what is between you and between Allah, in what is between you and your self, and in what is between you and between the people. So it’s upon the Muslim that he fears Allah and that he says a statement that is the truth and forward even in a will*. If the Muslim wants to write a will for when he dies, then he must be just in the will (with guidelines which directs the proper distribution of property and wealth after he dies).
“And let those (executors andguardians) have the same fear in their minds as they would have for their ownselves,if they had left weak offspring behind. So let them fear Allah and speak what is sadeed. “
An-Nisa 9
He is to be just in the writing and distribution of the will and not oppressive or unfair in the will; this is him ceasing to incline to falsehood – by sticking to writing and distributing his wealth and property according to the orders in the Quran and Sunnah. Indeed, it came in a narration that a person he perfects his deed, then when death is present he deviates in his will so this seals his position in the Hellfire. So it’s upon the Muslim that he fears Allah always and that he adheres to statements that are sadeed, true and straight forward, in all of his speech and sayings, and he that he is aware of the slipping of his tongue. A young man may die because of the slipping of his tongue, and a person does not die because a foot stumbles, so he slips with his saying and this slipping goes to his head – because the one who stumbles due to his foot is innocent from neglect. Beware of your tongue. O people, indeed the snake does not bite you ( meaning :heedless and false speech is worst than a snake bite, speech like backbiting, gossiping, lying and spreading tales, inciting fitnah) , how many are in their graves from being slain due to his tongue? Would you fear meeting a very brave person, you would hold back your tongue, fearing to fight him. O Muslims, ponder on His statement, the Most High::”وَقُولُوا قَوْلاً سَدِيداً“O you who believe! Keep your duty to Allah and fear Him, and speak (always) the truth”(Al-Ahzaab 70)always and forever.
Know that the best speech is Allah’s Book and the best of the guidance is the guidance of Muhammad, sallahu wa alayhi wa salam, and the most evil affairs is new matters in the Deen of Allah, and all Bidah (innovation) is astray and upon you all is the Jamaat (the group of the Muslims with its Leader) for indeed the Hand of Allah is with the Jamaat and he who is harsh/severe with them is in the Fire.
“Indeed Allah sends His Salat (Graces, Honors, Blessings, Mercy) on the Prophet (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم), and also His angels (ask Allah to bless and forgive him). O you who believe! Send your Salat on (ask Allah to bless) him (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم), and (you should) greet (salute) him with the Islamic way of greeting (salutation i.e. As-Salamu ‘Alaikum).”
al-Ahzaab 56
O Allah! Send your blessings and peace upon your slave and Messenger, our Prophet Muhammad.
O Allah! Be pleased regarding his rightly guided successors and leaders: Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman, Ali and all the companions and regarding those who follow them, and those who follow them in perfect goodness until the Day of Judgment.
O Allah! Cherish Islam and the Muslims and humiliate Shirk and the polytheists, and gather the Muslims’ word on the Deen (of Islam), and rectify for us our Deen, which with it holds our affairs, and rectify our worldly affairs, which in it is our living, and rectify our Hereafter, which will be our cradle (home in the Hereafter), and accept our repentance and forgive us and show us mercy. O Allah! Rectify the government in settling our affairs and grant them guidance from those who are guided, other than astray neither that which is astray.
O Allah! Rectify their innermost affair, their sittings and their advisers, and keep them far from the evil within them and from those who are corrupt. O Lord of the worlds (mankind and jinn)! O Allah! Rectify the affairs of the Muslims in all places and hide them from the evil of their enemies, from the disbelievers, hypocrites, and polytheist, and the rest of those who are corrupt. O Lord of the world! Our Lord! Accept from us, indeed you are All-Seer and All-Knowing.
Slaves of Allah:
“Verily, Allah enjoins Al-‘Adl (i.e. justice and worshiping none but Allah Alone – Islamic Monotheism) and Al-Ihsan [i.e. to be patient in performing your duties to Allah, totally for Allah’s sake and in accordance with the Sunnah (legal ways) of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلمin a perfect manner], and giving (help) to kith and kin (i.e. all that Allah has ordered you to give them e.g., wealth, visiting, looking after them, or any other kind of help), and forbids Al-Fahsha’ (i.e all evil deeds, e.g. illegal sexual acts, disobedience of parents, polytheism, to tell lies, to give false witness, to kill a life without right), and Al-Munkar (i.e all that is prohibited by Islamic law: polytheism of every kind, disbelief and every kind of evil deeds), and Al-Baghy (i.e. all kinds of oppression). He admonishes you, that you may take heed. And fulfill the Covenant of Allah (Bai’ah: pledge for Islam) when you have covenanted, and break not the oaths after you have confirmed them – and indeed you have appointed Allah your surety. Verily! Allah knows what you do.”
Al-Nahil 90-91
So remember Allah, and Allah will remember you, and be thankful of Him of His Ni’mah (all type of blessings) and He will increase you of His Ni’mah. Indeed, the remembrance of Allah is the greatest, and Allah knows of what you do (all your public and secret actions good and bad, within yourself and with others).
