Shaykh Muhammad al alMalki from KSA:

Principles of the Salafi Manahaj and Salafi Around the World

All Praise is due to Allah; we praise Him, and seek His help and forgiveness. We seek refuge in Allah, Most High, from the evils of our own selves and from our wicked deeds. Whomever Allah guides cannot be misguided, and whomever he leads astray cannot be guided. I testify that there is no true God worthy of being worshiped expect Allah, alone, without partner or associate. I further testify that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger (Sallallaahu`alayhi we sallam)

Dear salafee brothers and sisters around the world remember what Allah The Exalted said as in (suratu Aali Imr`aan 3:102):

O you who believe! Fear Allah [by doing all that he ordered and abstaining from all that He forbade] as He should be feared [obey Him, be thankful to Him, and remember Him always] and die not to expect in a state of Islam.

And remember what He The Exalted have said as (in suratu An-Nisaa’4:1):

O mankind! Be dutiful to your Raab [Allah] who created you from a single person [Adam] and from him [Adam] he created his wife [Eve], and from them both He created many men and women. And fear Allah through Whom you demand your mutual [rights] and [do not cut the relations of] the wombs [kind ship]. Surely, Allah is ever an All-watcher over you.

And remember what He The Exalted have said as (in suratu Al-Ahzaab 33:70-71):

O you who believe! Keep your duty to Allah and fear Him, and speak [always] the truth. He will direct your to do righteous good deeds and will forgive your sins. And whosoever obeys Allah and His Messenger, has indeed achieved a great success.

And we have to remember that Allah The Almighty called us the followers of Prophet Mohammad صلى الله عليه وسلم as in Suratu Al-Hujuraat ayah 10

{إِنَّمَا الْمُؤْمِنُونَ إِخْوَةٌ فَأَصْلِحُوا بَيْنَ أَخَوَيْكُمْ ۚ وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُونَ}

[10] The believers are nothing else than brothers (in Islamic religion). So make reconciliation between your brothers, and fear Allâh, that you may receive mercy.

Dear brothers and sisters verily the honour of the Muslim is the most valuable thing to him therefore Islam came to protect it by forbidding backbiting and slandering as well as boycotting accept for as valid reason as He sallahu alihi wassallama said as in the hadeeth of Abu Barzatal-Aslami :

عن أبي برزة الأسلمي رضي الله عنه أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يا معشر من آمن بلسانه ولم يدخل الإيمان قلبه ، لا تغتابوا المسلمين ، ولا تتبعوا عوراتهم ، فإنه من اتبع عوراتهم يتبع الله عورته ، ومن يتبع الله عورته يفضحه في بيته

رواه أبو داود وصححه الألباني

O you who believed with his tong but Imam haven’t reached his heart yet do not backbite the Muslims nor you chase their awrat ( mistakes) as for he whosoever does so Allah will chase the awrat of his household and expose them to the people. Reported by Aboo dawood and authenticated by Albani

Dear brothers and sisters one may say that we are only protecting Islam from the violations of this person but I say that this is the duty of the people of knowledge but any others and your duty is to refer anything that you have a doubt with to them as Allah commanded you:

[83] When there comes to them some matter touching (public) safety or fear, they make it known (among the people); if only they had referred it to the Messenger or to those charged with authority among them, the proper investigators would have understood it from them (directly). Had it not been for the Grace and Mercy of Allâh upon you, you would have followed Shaitân (Satan), save a few of you.

And remember when you refer it to the people of knowledge that you fear Allah and make sure that your target is to reach the truth but not to harm no one as what The Prophet sallahu alihi wassallama said as in the hadeeth of Umm Salamah Radhiyallah Unha as in the hadeeth reported by Bukhari and Moslim :

عن أم سلمة هند بنت أبي أمية رضي الله عنها أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال : ( إنكم تختصمون إلي ، ولعل بعضكم ألحن بحجته من بعض ، فمن قضيت له بحق أخيه شيئا بقوله ، فإنما أقطع له قطعة من النار ، فلا يأخذها ) . رواه البخاري ومسلم وغيرهما

(Verily you come to me for judgments while some of you are more excellent than the others in terms of speaking, as for he whoever I judge for his benefit while he knows that it is not for him in fact, then let him to know that I only have cut a piece of fire for him, so let him not to take it)

My advice for you all is to cooperate on what you know that it is from the sunnah and whatever you don’t know you refer it back to the people of knowledge and keep your hearts free of hatred against each others.

Friday 24 Safar 1432 (28 Jan 2011)Principles of the Salafi Manaha

Principles of the Salafi Manahaj

These people who are upon the Truth, who are upon Righteously  which is the way of the Prophet (salllallahu alayhi salam), the way which is known today by Salafiyah, which means they way of the salafus-Saliheen (The Prophet and His Companions) which is the Belief, the Act of worship, The Manners & etiquette of Rasolollah, which is basically THE RELIGION THAT PROPHET MOHAMMAD CAME WITH.

As they (the people of salafiyyah) have more responsibilities than anyone else in this matter that we are talking about today which is Ad-Dawatus Salafiyah. Today we see many people who come to practice the salafiyyah got confused about who is salafee who is not, although they are upon this righteous way. This confusion is only found because many people try to be as they say “Tazabbaba Qabla un Yatahasram” which means they want to become raisins even before they are over ripe grape. They want to jump only at once from the bottom to the top. So many of them, might warn against Dawat-Tabligh, which is based on ignorance no knowledge , but you still see today some of these who warn against Jamaatu Tableegh doing the same thing calling Unto Allah with even being studied with no scholar or they studied for some time but not based on the principles of seeking knowledge jumping any of the Ussool of ilm rather that they know them but they educate themselves from books nor that they had joint any college, nor that they had gone through a serious circle of knowledge. Some of them might hardly have finished studying in an Islamic University with C class grade and may be in a double period, some others haven’t even finished as for yet or may be failed and terminated but they teach and travel here and there to teach Islam and may be big books that they don’t understand it. As for some others they might have asked a scholar to give them a written tazkiyyah –recommendation- to marry or joining a school or for a job or may be for some financial help or for any other reason and sit happened that sometimes a shaikh calls one of them a shaikh over a telelink just as the Arabs call anyone even if he is common person a shaikh just a way to call some one so he gets very happy that this is a recommendation and then hiddenly he influences many others with it. Here I ask where is the Ikhlass?

Some of them warn against Ikhwan Muslimeen, which is Haqq to warn against because Ikhwan Muslimeen base their Dawah upon hizbiyah and Dawah of Hassan Al-Banna, which is we cooperate on what we agree upon and pardon each others in what we disagree upon. These two sects ( Tableegh & Ikwan) have common mistakes other than what we said ; these are No.1 is that they care about the number of followers regardless wither these people are people of Sunnah or they might be upon bidaa or shirk akbar sometimes. They have them with them but they don’t correct them just because this might cause a split with in the Jamma’ah.
Some of the Salafee brothers , have stepped on the way of the khawarij who openly criticize the Rulers and scholars and take the people out of the folds of Islam for any sin.  At the same time you see these people who condemn the way of the khawarij doing the same mistakes of the Khawarij and takes the people out of the folds of Sunnah just because they don’t agree with them on an issue that some of the salafee major scholars that both accept as major scholars might have different opinions in regard.

Like they condemn the khawarij that they do not return back to the Major Scholars on their affairs that they disagree with each others about but you see them also doing the same thing and if you say I asked this shaikh or that or I found another opinion for shaikh so and so who is one of the major scholars of the Ummah they immediately turn away from you and start accusing that you don’t respect shaikh that they want  to only take from, and they belief that no one of the ulima today can understand these matters like him.

As a consequence they you will defiantly take  you out of the folds of Sunnah, and they name you as a mobtadee innovator or momayee.
These brothers want to return to a particular scholar that they like, and to what pleases them, and what convinces them, but they will not turn to the speech of the ulima if it doesn’t convince him saying we cannot oppose the Sunnah with statements of other salafee scholars which is more dangerous than all the groups we mentioned earlier because they destroy the inside body of Dawatus Salafiyah and build up a new Hizbiyyah with the name of salafiyyah. They know or they don’t know, and new taassub extremism while they fight against taassub of the four madhaheb. That is why I decided to collect whatever from the speech of Ahlul-ilm as much as I can and set them up to clarify the boundaries and landmarks of the Manhaj Salafee that people can live with in with no risk to their religion.

The first thing we begin with the principles Al-Mahajus Salafee, is Sincerity to Allah which he created not mankind and jinn except that they perform it when they worship Allah and wish to gain His reward
Sincerity which is not seen with many people today May Allah protect us. You see these people when the Haqq convinces them they go to it without any hesitation, but whenever it does not convince them, they turn away from it.
Allah has warned against all the forms of association, as in the Quran and the Sunnah.
Dawah call unto Allah is a major method of worship and that is why it is considered in Islam that every Muslim is a Da`ee to Allah , either by his teaching in the Mosques, schools or colleges if he is somebody who has knowledge, or by his way of worship when he is sticking to the Sunnah even if he doesn’t have much knowledge, as well as the way this person speaks or deals with others from among the Muslims or other than the Muslims.
The position of giving Dawah by verbal teaching or compiling books is the duty of the scholars and students of knowledge only but not the others even if these people who hope to be one day a scholars or considering themselves students of knowledge just by reading books or listening to tapes or going through internet websites and it is as dangerous.  As what the scholars during the golden time of ilm used to say “ NOTHING CAN CAUSE A DESTRUCTION TO THE UMMAH LIKE A HALF WAY FAQEEH, HALF WAY LINGUISTIC AND HALF WAY MEDICINE DOCTOR” simply because the half way faqeeh will destroy the people’s religion while the half way linguistic will destroy the people’s language and the half way medicine doctor will destroy the people’s health. Guess what if he is not even a quarter rather that he is a half of that. No one has the right to take the position of ulimaa even if he is fluent in Arabic , except a person who has the knowledge that the scholars witness he has it.
The ulimaa should a prompt action towards the one who interferes into the matter of ilm and tries to push his nose into something high above his level, as this will definitely damage the Dawah and bring lots of non sense and danger fatawah and open up the field for other parties who claim calling (claims the same thing but are deviant) .

Lets look now to the guidance of the Quran and Sunnah in regard to the sincerity:

Allah as in Surah Al-An Aam – Say Oh Mohammad – Indeed My Salah, My Sacrifices My life and my death,

Surah Zumar [2] Verily, We have sent down the Book to you (O Muhammad (peace be upon him)) in truth: So worship Allâh (Alone) by doing religious deeds sincerely for Allâh’s sake only.

Surah Zumar : [14] Say (O Muhammad (peace be upon him)) “Allâh Alone I worship by doing religious deeds sincerely for His sake only (and not to show-off, and not to set up rivals with Him in worship.)”

Surah Baiyinah : 5 – [5] And they were commanded not, but that they should worship Allâh, and worship none but Him Alone (abstaining from ascribing partners to Him), and perform As-Salât (Iqâmat-as-Salât) and give Zakât, and that is the right religion.

Sincerity is the first condition of the two conditions for accepting any worship.

Surah Al-An Aam [31] : Say (O Muhammad (peace be upon him) to mankind): “If you (really) love Allâh then follow me (i.e. accept Islâmic Monotheism, follow the Qur’ân and the Sunnah), Allâh will love you and forgive you your sins. And Allâh is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.”
Surah Kahf : – And he one who is looking f the day he stands before his Lord, let not set partners with Allah.

The deeds that a person can do is the knowledge.

Allah says :

Surah Fossilat [33] And who is better in speech than he who (says: “My Lord is Allâh (believes in His Oneness),” and then stands firm (acts upon His Order), and) invites (men) to Allâh’s (Islâmic Monotheism), and does righteous deeds, and says: “I am one of the Muslims.”

But He also says that the Dawah should only be based on Baseerah :

Surah Yusuf [108] Say (O Muhammad (peace be upon him)) “This is my way; I invite unto Allâh (i.e. to the Oneness of Allâh – Islâmic Monotheism) with sure knowledge, I and whosoever follows me (also must invite others to Allâh i.e. to the Oneness of Allâh – Islâmic Monotheism with sure knowledge). And Glorified and Exalted be Allâh (above all that they associate as partners with Him). And I am not of the Mushrikûn (polytheists, pagans, idolaters and disbelievers in the Oneness of Allâh; those who worship others along with Allâh or set up rivals or partners to Allâh).”

And He also said :

Surah Israa [36] And follow not (O man i.e., say not, or do not or witness not) that of which you have no knowledge. Verily! The hearing, and the sight, and the heart, of each of those one will be questioned (by Allâh).

That is why Allah says as in

Surah Fater[28] And likewise of men and Ad-Dawâbb (moving (living) creatures, beasts), and cattle are of various colors. It is only those who have knowledge among His slaves that fear Allâh. Verily, Allâh is All-Mighty, Oft-Forgiving.

For those who associates with Allah in worship, in seeking knowledge or spreading it, those who legislate besides Allah, those who base their call upon the praise of people.

To all these types we direct the Saying of Allah as in

1) Surah Furqan : All Slaves of Allah, Allah has already told us that the people are of two Kinds:

2) Surah Imran – 52 – Some of you wants the Dunya, fames from the people, money, positions, honour in the Dunya only. Followers and someone of you wants only the Akhirah. He doesnt seek the knowledge except to please Allah. So he be save from that Day, which Allah describes in Surah Shu`arah – On that Day, neither wealth or children can benefit the people except a person with a clean heart.

And in the Sunnah as well:

1) Prophet Mohammad (sallallahu alayhi wassallaam) – said to Saad ibn Abi Waqqas – radhi-Allah anhu) – You would never stay behind for longer life and you do good in this life, seeking the Face of Allah, except that you would be increased in your reward and raise in rank of Jannah.

2) Hadeeth – Abu Hurairah – Sunan Tirmidhi – The prophet – gives the three qualities of people who did deeds in this life, but they ended up in the Fire. One of them, he joined the battle for the sake of Allah but he was only showing off, the other who use to give sadaqa but only showing off, one who seek the knowledge of Quran and taught just for people to say he is `alim. These three qualities who thrown in the Fire because they show off, not sincere.

3) Abi Hurairah – the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wassallam) – that Allah says – the sufficient of the partners of the partnership. So Whoever does acts of worship (associating anything with Me) then I am free from him and I will leave him what he has associated.

So the Muslim should be be very careful from showing off, and let them struggle within themselves. Those who struggle against themselves for the sake of Allah, Allah will guide them to the perfect way.
Some of the Salaf – described Sincerity means the act (apparent / hidden) are on the same level, meaning he would make same quality. He would make the hidden more better than the apparent, because the one who shows off, what is apparent is better than what is hidden in his chest, but the honest one – his hidden what is his chest is better than what you see and you like.
Some of Salaf – Sincerity is to forget that the people see you, by keeping yourself busy of the sighting of Allah (Allah`s see you), and whoever beautify them self to the people with something that that real, he would be dropped from the Eye of Allah, meaning Allah would not accept from him.
Some of the Salaf said : Abandoning the acts of Worship of seeking knowledge because you don’t  want people to see you, this is showing off and doing it for them to see you that is the Shirk.
Some of the Salaf said – Sincerity is the secret between the servant and his Lord. No angel can know so he can’t write it, No shaitan can know it so he can’t  destroy it. No desire can know, so it can’t turn it the other way, but it is secret between you and Allah.
Some of the Scholars were asked: ” what is the most heaviest thing for the soul to accept or do? He said – Sincerity because there is nothing in sincerity in it for the soul, but it is All for Allah”.

The opposite of sincerity is Shirk. It is that you make of what you do (any act of worship) for other than Allah, and you seek what you do (acts of worship) other than Allah.
If the slave becomes sincere with Allah, lots of remembrance for Allah and showing off would be refrain from him. There would never be a slave who become sincere for 40 days in row except the remembrance is place in his heart and Allah puts it in his speech.
Helps in gaining sincerity in field of Dawah to Allah. We concentrating on the principles of Salafiyah.
First – Complete certainty, people show no harm, or raise no harm, all  is in the Hands of Allah.
Second Asceticism – Zuhd – Not seeking the dunya, after knowing the reality of it, It is only temporary. The life of this world has a end.
Third – Hidden Worships – Fasting, Remembrance, supplicating Allah
Fourth – Who response to the supplication of person suffering of harm, who raises harm of this person
– Allah say – Surah Kahf – Be patient for ones who remembers of Allah…..
Allah says – Will they think of the Quran when they recite it
Surah Maun – Supplicate to your Lord – hidden and open
Fifth – Remembering Allah is close to you, Know what you do, that He is able to change you to whatsoever he wishes. Allah is able to see your heart.
Sixth – Looking into the biography of the pious predecessors and on top of them, Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wassalaam) and the companions, so he can get the example and follow.
The person must look for reason why he is doing or why he is willing to do this type of worship, if it is for Allah, then do or if it is for your own desires, for your convenience, for the shyateen, then don’t do it.

Do not go away from it, struggle against yourself, fight from yourself until you strive upon the Right Path, then you go ahead do that worship and seek that knowledge.
