Shaykh Salih Al Fawzan Seeking Knowledge Excerpt from Sharhu Asunnah Imam Babaharee فقد بينت الأمور

Shaykh Salih al Fawzan may Allaah preserve him said and says in many of his lectures regarding students of knowledge and also in his explanation of Sharh as Sunnah Imam Babaharee رحمه الله, he states:

From that matn (text):

فقد بُيِّنتِ الأُمورُ

So Indeed the Affairs are crystal clear (explicit)

Shaykh explained:

Yes “indeed the Affairs (of the Deen of Islam Tawheed and Shirk, Truth and Falsehood the Halal and Haram) are crystal clear”.

But the affairs it needs to be search for and to sought-after, along with that it is upon the people to learn and to understand. Become learnt men in Islam ( understand the legislation of Islam), and he takes knowledge from the Ulimaa (scholars) he does not take knowledge from his self or the person like himself who are from the ignoramus or Mutalimeen [pseudos scholars] or from the books rather he take knowledge from its people. Because this knowledge it is obtain from the Ulimaa for such knowledge.

Islamic Knowledge is obtain by learning from Scholars and not by taking it from books . So books indeed it is tools only for researching for the explanations of the Ulimaa, and concerning to connecting to the truth. For knowledge this is taken from the people of knowledge and citing from them after the Salaf.
