Shaykh Salih al Fawzan: If a Muslim was able to enter into a government position to make changes (corrections) and guide the people then do so even if its a Non-Muslim country.

Shaykh Salih al Fawzan: If a Muslim was able to enter into a government position to make changes (corrections) and guide the people then do so even if its a Non-Muslim country.

If you are able to make an influence change, correction, you have the chance of authority in the government of a country ( a position of power in a branch). Then enter upon working with a position in a government of a country, and correct and make changes for the better do so.

As Prophet Yusuf peace be upon him said, as stated in the Quran:

قَالَ اجْعَلْنِي عَلَى خَزَائِنِ الأَرْضِ إِنِّي حَفِيظٌ عَلِيمٌ

[Yusuf (Joseph)] said: “Set me over the store-houses of the land; I will indeed guard them with full knowledge” (as a minister of finance in Egypt). Surah Yusuf:55.

If there is a country that needs change (correction/fixing), and a chance to guide the people (to Islam, to that which is correct etc) enter into working with the country’s government.  Even if the country is a disbelieving (non-Muslim}  country. Just as Yusef worked in the government of a country that was not upon his Deen (way of Life/ Belief in the Oneness of Allah/Tawheed/Islam), but he did for the purpose of correcting.   It is base on your intention, and your goal and resolution.

If you are able to entertain it (keep up with it) then enter and make changes from the Muslim bodies. Then enter and make changes.
