“O you who believe! If a Fasiq (liar – evil person) comes to you with any news, verify it, lest you should harm people in ignorance, and afterward you become regretful for what you have done.”

Hurjaat verse: 6

Shaykh Fawzan said about this verse in a Khutbah about brotherhood:

That when the Fasiq [ liar – evil person] come to you,  the Fasiq he is one you do not take from him his testimony [ his account -his story] nor do you take from him his information because the reason he is contrary/ weak in his Deen.  He commits the major sin and this is the Fasiq, and also he carries with him hearsay and he carries with him information that are lies.  He come with gossip  and spread it between the Muslims.  He cause division between them . This is a Fasiq and the Fasiq he abandon  the obedience of Allah , and the rejecter of the obedience of Allah  which command  love and unity , and coming together.  Allah’s saying “verify it”:  it means that you prove it , to be either false or true. So that if it to be false then refute it , and that if it to be true do not spread it. Nor do you broad cast it rather yet you deal with it in the best of manners.  You conceal it, and stay with the love between the Muslims. Close the door to fitnah.  Restrain the slander of the Fasquoon [ those who are corrupted]. This saying ‘lest you should harm’  which mean ‘ lest you should harm people in ignorance’.  You are ignorant of this information and you take it  from the fasquoon and you afflict the one who is innocent.  ‘ You become regretful for what you have done’.  From what you did by afflicting the innocent , base upon the information of the liar and tale carrier, then you are remorseful  about what took place from you.

DEBUNKED: SAUDI-IMAM ARRESTED FROM THE PULPIT FOR SPEAKING AGAINST JEWS

The video of a Saudi Imam getting arrested from the pulpit during the Friday sermon has gone viral, giving Saudiphobes a new bashing tool.

The descriptions say, ‘he was cursing Jews so was he arrested’, ‘he spoke against Government’s corruption so was he arrested’, ‘he spoke against Government’s decision on Cinema, so was he arrested’.

I ask:

How do you even know what he was speaking?

Can you show me the duration spot in the video where he was cursing the Jews or speaking against the corruption of Government?

Official spokesperson of Ministry of Islamic Affairs of Madinah Abdulmajid bin Ghaleb bin Mohammedi said, “this is what happened at Al-Jabriya mosque in Yanbu Al-Bahr, the mosque administration in Yanbu governorate reported that at 12:35 pm, a mentally disabled person attempted to deliver the sermon at Al-Jabriya Mosque. Competent authorities immediately pulled him down, and then Friday prayers and sermons were held by the official Khatib of the mosque.”

GulfNews tweets reporting it to be a case of “Unauthorized” preaching.

al-Marsd.com reports, Police was called after preacher refused to step down. He was investigated if he held any ulterior motives. However he was released after finding him mentally unstable.

It’s a norm in Saudi that the preacher holds a Bataqa or permit to preach publicly. Unauthorized preachers are not allowed come hell or highwater to ascend the pulpit.
This law preserves the essence of religion to preach what abides by Quran and the Prophetic traditions, protects spreading of heresies, it bars the oppurtunist preachers from exploiting the position to spread sedition, dissent and extremism.

Next time when a fool forwards you this message, send him back the Ayat of Quran where Allah says:

When there comes to them some matter touching (public) safety or fear, they *SPREAD* it, if only they had referred it to the Messenger or to those charged with authority among them, the proper investigators would have understood it from them (directly). Had it not been for the Grace and Mercy of Allah upon you, you would have followed Shaitan (Satan), save a few of you.  (An-Nisa 4:83)
