Q&A Shaykh Dr. Salih al Fawzan the Awareness of the Reality of Tawheed, Tawheed isn’t Restricted to Rububiyyah Only


 

 

 

Q. How is the way to awareness of the reality of Tawheed – belief, and comportment , and action?

A. The path it’s education, and learning At-Tawheed (Islamic Monotheism 1.), because much from the people if you was to ask him what is Tawheed? He wouldn’t answer you because he didn’t learn the meaning of it, the intended goal with it that it’s to single out Allah Alone in worship.

Ashaykh Muhammad ibn Abdul Wahab may Allah have mercy upon him, he said: ” know may Allah have mercy upon you, that At-Tawheed it’s to single out Allah in worship. And not to single out Allah (only) with being the Creator, and the Provider (of all His creation) and the One who give life, and the One who give death.

This  isn’t sufficient, this is Tawheedu Rububiyyah only (Oneness of the Lordship of Allah 2.)

This was the people of time of time of  Jaahiliyah {3.} also believed in it also (Tawheedu Rububiyyah). And recognized Rububiyyah  and they profess it but when they are worshiping  with Allah other than Him, they become Mushrikoon (polytheist) the inhabitants who will be the dwellers who will inhabit the Hell-fire.   Except he who repents to Allah from them before death. Hold tighten to with the worship of Allah, Him solely, and don’t associate partners in worship with Him. So Tawheed it is to single out Allah in worship. Tawheed which the Messengers called to it, all Messengers and the first what he said it to his people :

يَا قَوْمِ اعْبُدُواْ اللّهَ مَا لَكُم مِّنْ إِلَهٍ غَيْرُهُ

O my people worship Allah there isn’t for you any god other than Him

And this isn’t Tawheed, that you believe Allah is the Creator, the Provider, the giver of life and death and the Originator!

Yes this is Tawheed but it’s Tawheedu Rububiyyah, Abul Jahil recognized it (Rububiyyah), the Polytheists recognized it , they recognized it from before them:

  وَلَئِنْ سَأَلْتَهُمْ مَنْ خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ لَيَقُولُنَّ اللَّهُ

And if you  ask them: “Who has created the heavens and the earth,” they will certainly say: “Allah.”

وَلَئِن سَأَلْتَهُم مَّنْ خَلَقَهُمْ لَيَقُولُنَّ اللَّهُ

And if you ask them who created them, they will surely say: “Allah.”

قُلْ مَن رَّبُّ السَّمَاوَاتِ السَّبْعِ وَرَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ, سَيَقُولُونَ لِلَّه

Say who is the Lord of the seven Heavens and the Lord of the Mighty Throne, they shall say ” it belongs to Allah”.

So they are professing this but they’re not adhering to the course of it. By not adhering  to singling out Allah the Majestic and the Most High in worship, and abandon worship from what is worship from other than Allah.

1.Tawheed is broken down into three aspects for teaching purpose:

2.Tawheed Rububiyyah: to believe that there is only one Lord for all the universe, and He is its Creator, Organizer, Planner, Sustain-er, and the Giver of security and that is Allah.

Tawheed Uluhiyyah: to believe that none has the right to be worshiped (e.g.praying, invoking, asking for help {from the unseen} swearing, slaughtering sacrifices, giving charity, fasting, pilgrimage, etc.) but Allah.

Tawheed Asmaa wa Sifaat: to believe that we must not name or qualify Allah except with what He or His Messengers sallahu wa alayhi wa salam has named or qualified Him, none can be named or qualified with the names or Qualification of Allah.

3. Jaahiliyah: Ignorance belonging to the period before the advent of the Prophet sallahu wa alyhi wa salam.

Un-Islamic practices which either existed or were inherited from the era before the advent of the Prophet sallahu wa alayhi wa salam.


السؤال: 

كيف السبيل إلى معرفة حقيقة التوحيد اعتقادًا وسلوكًا وعملًا؟

الجواب: الطريق هو التعلم, تعلُّم التوحيد, لأن كثيرًا من الناس لو تسأله ما هو التوحيد؟ لا يجيبك لأنه ما تعلم معناه والمقصود به أنه هو إفراد الله بالعبادة.

الشيخ محمد بن عبد الوهاب-رحمه الله- يقول: “اعلم –رحمك الله- أن التوحيد هو إفراد الله بالعبادة وليس إفراد الله بالخلق والرزق والإحياء والإماتة, هذا لا يكفي هذا توحيد الربوبية, وهذا كانت الجاهلية يعتقدونه أيضًا ويقرون به ويعترفون به ولكنهم لمَّا كانوا يعبدون مع الله غيره صاروا مشركين خالدين مخلَّدين في النار إلا من تاب إلى الله منهم قبل الموت والتزم بعبادة الله وحده لا شريك له, فالتوحيد هو إفراد الله بالعبادة؛ التوحيد الذي دعت إليه الرسل, كل رسول أول ما يقوله لقومه: {يَا قَوْمِ اعْبُدُواْ اللّهَ مَا لَكُم مِّنْ إِلَهٍ غَيْرُهُ},وليس التوحيد هو أن تعتقد أن الله هو الخالق الرازق المحيي المميت المدبر!

نعم هذا توحيد لكنه توحيد الربوبية أقرَّ به أبو جهل وأقرَّ به المشركون من قبلهم: {وَلَئِنْ سَأَلْتَهُمْ مَنْ خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ لَيَقُولُنَّ اللَّهُ}.

{وَلَئِن سَأَلْتَهُم مَّنْ خَلَقَهُمْ لَيَقُولُنَّ اللَّهُ{

{قُلْ مَن رَّبُّ السَّمَاوَاتِ السَّبْعِ وَرَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ, سَيَقُولُونَ لِلَّه.}

يعترفون بهذا لكنهم لا يلتزمون بمدلوله وما يستلزم من إفراد الله- جل وعلا- بالعبادة وترك عبادة ما واسواه.
