wpid-wp-1424928899032.jpegTafseer of the Verses in Suratul A’laa

14 Indeed whosoever purifies himself (by avoiding polytheism and accepting Islamic Monotheism) shall achieve success,

15 And remembers (glorifies) the Name of his Lord (worships none but Allah), and prays (five compulsory prayers ).

16 Nay, you prefer the life of this world,

17 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting.

18 Verily, this is in the former Scriptures –

19 The Scriptures of Ibrahim (Abraham) and Musa (Moses) (عليهما السلام).

Q: In the Name of Allah the Most Beneficent (Mercy for all mankind) the Most Merciful (the Mercy that is special for the Believers), all praise is for Allah, the Lord of all the worlds, and blessing and peace upon the leader of the believers  (leader of noble believers who have taqwa who will have the brightness of light on them on the day of Judgement due to their making of correct ablution and proper taharah {purity} قَائِد الغُرِّ المُحَجَّلِين ) our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family, and upon all his companions.

O’ Allah  teach us what benefits us, and benefit us with what you taught us, and increase us with knowledge O the Kareem (Allah al Kareem {the Noble One}).

We welcome our brothers and sisters with the most beautiful warm welcoming, with this blessed good meeting, which we gather with Eminence Shaykh Alaamah Salih son of Fawzan al Fawzan from the members of the body of the Major Scholars, and from the members of the standing committee of giving Fatwaaa. A warm welcoming for Shaykh Salih with the brothers and sisters (viewing this program).

Shaykh may Allah give you a preserve life and bless you. The question we begin this meeting with is the Tafseer of this noble verse of the saying of Allah Blessed is He and the Most High:

I seek refuge in Allah from Shaytan the rejected and cursed:

Indeed whosoever purifies himself (by avoiding polytheism and accepting Islamic Monotheism) shall achieve success,

And remembers (glorifies) the Name of his Lord (worships none but Allah), and prays (five compulsory prayers).

Nay, you prefer the life of this world,

Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting.

Verily, this is in the former Scriptures –

The Scriptures of Ibrahim (Abraham) and Musa (Moses) (عليهما السلام).

A:  In the Name of Allah the Most Beneficent (Mercy for all mankind) the Most Merciful (the Mercy that is special for the Believers), all praise is for Allah the Lord of the worlds, and Allah send blessings and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon his family and all his companions….

In this noble  Surah (chapter in Quran) al-Alaa, Allah says Glorified is He the Most High at the end of it:

Indeed whosoever purifies himself (by avoiding polytheism and accepting Islamic Monotheism) shall achieve success,

And remembers (glorifies) the Name of his Lord (worships none but Allah), and prays (five compulsory prayers and Nawafil – additional prayers).

So the scholars said:

‘whosoever purifies himself shall achieve success’

Which is to pay Sadaqah al Fitra ( the sadaq that is paid for the ending of the fast in the Ramadan in a form of food).

‘And remembers (glorifies) the Name of his Lord (worships none but Allah), and prays’

Which is that he prays the Salatul Eid, then He said the Majestic and the Most High:

‘Nay, you prefer the life of this world’

This is a test from Allah, that the children of Adam prefer the life of this world over the hear-after. With that, the life of this world decrease/ goes away, but the next life is more prefer and be the final detestation, which is more everlasting for them, this is from the wonders of the next life.

Then Allah the Majestic and Most High said:

‘Nay, you prefer the life of this world, Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting’

In this mentioning and reminder in this chapter is from the mighty affairs.

Verily, this is in the former Scriptures –

Meaning old, which Allah revealed it to Ibraheem Khaleel (close friend of Allah) peace and blessing be upon him. Which Allah send it down upon His Word and His Prophet Musa son of Imran peace and blessing be upon him. So this chapter , is a mighty chapter of Quran and in it is a  mighty foundation for those of you who ponder upon it, and act upon it, for this is the legislated law of Allah.

Also read with it is chapter al-Gashiya  in salatul Jumah (Friday Jumah prayer service Khatib lead the salah with these two Chapters of Quran), Allah legislated the reading of this:

Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High

Suratul al alaa verse 1

and

Has there come to you the narration of the overwhelming (i.e. the Day of Resurrection)?

Suratul al Gashiya verse 1

In Salatul Jumah because in these two chapters in the Quran  is a reminder for the people, and warns the people of that which is in front of them on the day of  reckoning, and recompense (every soul would get what they deserve), and the day or resurrection, and the day of gathering (when all man be collected;day of Judgement). For preparing  for that day and that they do not get caught up with this worldly life, and that is warning them of their hereafter (outcome , and abode). And preparing  them for what is in front of them, for the state of ever lasting (of the next world). Without becoming occupy  with state of the worldly life, and this is from Allah’s Bounty upon us, and upon the people.

That Allah He warns us with that which is best for us, and correct for us. He prohibits concerning what is harmful for us, this is from the Mercy of Allah for us with Allah perfection (His favors) for us. So for Allah is all praise and the beneficent (all types of Mercy and Good), and blessing and peace of Allah be upon our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and all his companions.
