Shaykh Salih bin Fawzan al Fawzan Member of Senior scholars, and member of committee of Fatawaa.

For those who have hazards with them from the youth (all type of misguidance and misunderstandings about Islam), and other from them , and from those who have alter thinking of misguidance (that conflict Islam), that they come to their senses, and they ascribe to the Jama’h of the Muslims, and their leaders, and they learn knowledge that is beneficial from the support of the Ulimaaa (scholars) that are reliable with their knowledge and their deen, and that they warn from the astray callers, and from the Mutaalimoon 1., and the Juhal and that their is no deliverance from these trials and tribulations, except with beneficial knowledge and action, just as Allah the Most High said:

1. متعالم (Mutaalim)/ جمع  متعالمون  (plural Mutaalimoon) :   Those whom do not understand Allah’s Deen, intent be it that they read in the books and memorize a thing from the text but they do not understand the meanings of the text. They did not obtain it from the people of knowledge. So this path is harmful to him. Because knowledge is not taken from anyone except from the people of knowledge with obtaining knowledge from the scholars, generation after generation. Till Allah inherits the earth and all that on it (will be that way until the Day of Judgment). So from the foundation and fundamentals of learning that this affair is taken from the scholars who are Rabaniyoon (Ulimaa who are sound in knowledge and fear Allah) who are known for knowledge and which they inherit it from their Mashaykhs (scholars) and they pass the knowledge to their students and pass the inheritance (knowledge) out between them, till Allah inherits the Earth and what is on it (to the last days, the Day of Judgment; the End of Times). Taken from Shaykh Sallih al Fawzan lecture titled: From the Ethics of the Student of Knowledge

 So he does not take knowledge from merely books, without reading it with the scholars and obtaining its commentary and explanation from them. Knowledge is not obtain from the Mutaalimeen  those who took their knowledge from pages and they explain it from their thinking and their comprehension. So التعالم at-Taalim ( describing the action of those who pretend to have knowledge) it means make believe knowledge (pretending or claiming to have knowledge), result is confining oneself upon reading books. And the example of this it is said by he who al-Jahil al-Murakib: he who is ignorant and he does not know that he is jahil ignorant rather he thinks of his self as an Alim (scholar some one who understand Islam as a whole). How many are victimize from this path upon the old and current ummah (Islamic Nation) from these ordeals. So the first to graduate the schools of pretending to have knowledge ( taking knowledge without scholars) they are the Khawarij those who denied the companions may Allah be pleased with them and they fought against the companions and they killed Uthman and Ali and Talha and Zubar and other s from the companions (of the Messenger of Allah sallahu wa alayhi wa salam) may Allah be pleased with them.
