All the praises is for Allah the Lord of the Worlds and peace and blessings be upon His Chosen Messenger Muhammad and upon his family and his companions all of them.

By the Student of Knowledge, Shaykh Abdurrahman Murad هداه الله

To every jealous, hateful, envious individual who is crippled by the evil of his own self…GIVE IT UP! Let me share with you what was said about ‘losers’ who are jealous!
a. Imam Abu Al-Laith as-Samarqandi, may Allah have mercy on him, said:
يصل إلى الحاسد خمس عقوبات قبل أن يصل حسده إلى المحسود: أولاها: غمٌّ لا ينقطع. الثانية: مصيبة لا يُؤجر عليها. الثالثة: مذمَّة لا يُحمد عليها. الرابعة: سخط الرب. الخامسة: يغلق عنه باب التوفيق)
Meaning: Five punishments would reach one who is jealous, before his envy even ‘reaches’ the one who he is envying!
a. Chronic anguish, that never ends.
b. He will face hardships that he will receive no reward for.
c. People would look down upon him in disdain.
d. Allah will be angry with him.
e. He will not be successful in what he does.
b. Al-Jahidth, the famous author, sums it up beautifully saying: “Whenever an envious individual (who harbors hate for you) gives you his take and opinion when you are correct in something or he tries to guide you if you make a mistake in something else, know that he does this only in a fashion similar to a rabid dog or a sickened cat (who chases after an individual)…he would believe every liar and take by every false testimony against you! He only loves those who hate you, and hates those who love you. He may appear to be your friend openly, but from within your sworn enemy. The only time he is able to ‘handle’ you is when you have less than him in terms of money, and have many children in your care. The most happy he is, is when you are just recovering from a calamity.
Subhanallah…this really describes some people I was unfortunate enough to know first hand! May Allah protect us from those who are envious…Ameen!
