Question:

If we follow the view that the beard should not be allowed to grown beyond one fist (Imam hanifa) – does it mean that a fist length is better than less than a fist length?

Answer:

If you take by the view of Imam Abu Hanifah, may Allah have mercy on him, that the beard should be trimmed once it goes beyond the fist length…then this would be viewed as the most commendable act.
Of course this is an issue of variance…scholars have disagreed, but what is important is that one respects the other opinions and does not impose their view upon others.

May Allah bless us all. Ameen!
