Question:

What exactly is the awrah of a woman in front of another woman?

Answer:

During the course, I mentioned a Fiqh guideline…what is affirmed in the right of men is also to be affirmed in the right of women, except if there is evidence to exclude one gender.
That said, let me share with you what Sh. Ibn Othaimin, may Allah have mercy on him, said:

“I do not know of any specific text that indicates what the awrah of a woman is in the presence of another woman. The apparent wording of the Quran indicates that a woman may show to another woman what she would show of her body in the presence of her Mahram. The scholars indicate that a woman must cover what is between the navel and the knees. Their proof in relation to this is what is in Saheeh Muslim, on the authority of Abu Saeed al-Khudri, may Allah be pleased with him: “A man should not look at the awrah of another man, nor a woman should look at the awrah of another woman.”
