No Such Thing Backbiting for the Sake of Allah By Shaykh Salih Al Fawzan

Shaykh Salih al Fawzan hafidhullah was asked a question, he answer about the statement backing biting people for the sake of Allah.

First, it was asked in a Question:

And like this it came to us early a question from a person who says indeed he sees a seeker of knowledge he says ‘ indeed he said and it was said ‘ {he said she said/ slander and backbiting etc}

Shaykh Salih al Fawzan answers:
This student of knowledge said to him in this narration come with us and let us backbite for the sake of Allah the Majestic and Most Mighty. So he said to me this event or narration or it is not backbiting that is forbidden [that it permissible for him to speak ill about some one for the sake of Allah]  Allah the Majestic and Most High said :

“O you who believe! Avoid much suspicion; indeed some suspicions are sins nor spy nor backbite one another.  Would one of you like to eat the flesh of his dead brother?  You would hate it (so hate backbiting) . And fear Allah. Verily, Allah is the One Who forgives and accepts repentance, Most Merciful.” Surah alHujaraat verse 12.

So it is disobedience so how you going to backbite for the sake of Allah and  backbiting is disobedience it’s not permissible for you this and that you must make tawbah to Allah the Might and the Most High and it not lawful this statement we backbite for the sake of Allah this differ from the verse  “O you who believe! Avoid much suspicion; indeed some suspicions are sins nor spy nor backbite one another.  Would one of you like to eat the flesh of his dead brother?  You would hate it (so hate backbiting). And fear Allah. Verily, Allah is the One Who forgives and accepts repentance, Most Merciful.” Surah alHujaraat verse 12.
There is no backbiting for the sake of Allah. Allah hates this and prohibit regarding this [backbiting for the sake of Allah].
End of the answer from Shaykh Salih bin Fawzan bin Abdillah al Fawzan may Allah increase him in Khair Ameen
